Resa is the proud owner of Action Physiotherapy on both Pembina Hwy and Academy Rd.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba. She has also completed her acupuncture and dry needling certification.
She has a passion for health promotion, physical activity and helping others. When she isn’t at the clinic, she enjoys hiking and camping, going to the gym, running or spending time at the lake with family (including her dog, Maggie).
Kristy Chuckree | Physiotherapist
Kristy has over 10 years experience as an orthopedic physiotherapist. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2008 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy. Since then, she has been certified in acupuncture, and has taken a variety of post-graduate courses including vestibular rehabilitation and myofascial release. Throughout her career she has worked in hospital and private clinic settings.
Kristy enjoys getting to know her clients and treating a wide variety of orthopedic injuries. She takes a client centered approach to help her patients achieve their individual goals and believes in keeping active during recovery. In her free time Kristy enjoys keeping active, gardening, and crafting. Ask her about her dogs!
Yvonne DeCaire | Physiotherapist
Yvonne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Royal Roads Military College in Victoria, BC and a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation from the University of Manitoba. She has also completed her acupuncture and dry needling certification among many other post-graduate courses.
Yvonne believes that no one single approach is right for everyone. She incorporates multiple techniques based on what is right for each client to help them achieve their goals.
Nicole Marier | Physiotherapist
Nicole brings over 30 years of physiotherapy experience to the clinic and has post-graduate training in spine, peripheral joint and neural mobilization, exercise training including pilates and yoga. Nicole has also completed her acupuncture certification.
She is energetic, positive and caring person with a passion for helping others.
Tyler Swerdyliak | Physiotherapist
Tyler graduated from the University of Manitoba with both a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2017 and a Master’s of Physiotherapy in 2019. Tyler has successfully challenged the Level 1 Advanced Orthopaedic and Manipulative Therapy exam and is planning to completing further orthopaedic levels in the future. While completing his studies, Tyler has worked for several years as a strength and conditioning coach helping athletes and individuals meet their specific goals.
Tyler has a passion for health and wellness and takes a holistic approach to physiotherapy emphasizing patient education, exercise prescription and manual therapy. In his free time Tyler enjoys keeping active outdoors, playing sports and coaching hockey in the community.
Sharon Dyck | Massage Therapist
Academy + Pembina
Sharon graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Manitoba and received RMT training at the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2014.
She has post-graduate training in Swedish massage, hot stone, aromatherapy, myofascial release, reflexology, lymphatic drainage techniques as well as cranio-sacral therapy. She recently obtained her Reiki level 1.
When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Sharon enjoying golf, swimming, and yoga or volunteering at the Winnipeg Humane Society.
Scott Soriano | Massage Therapist
Academy + Pembina
Scott received his RMT training in 2016 and has been with Action Physiotherapy since 2018.
Scott has a passion for promoting healthy diet and lifestyles. He also has plenty of personal experience strength and conditioning training. When he isn’t at the clinic, you can find Scott training at the gym for his next powerlifting competition.
Heather Arnold | Massage Therapist
Hey! My name is Heather I’m married to my best friend James and we have two amazing boys, Finlay who is 5 and Brecken is 2. Our home is loud and busy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Starbucks, the Winnipeg jets, reading and anything essential oils!!!
We spend our summers at the lake, travel often as a family and I am trying my best to eliminate waste. It’s a work in progress but it’s important to teach my boys about our impact on the environment.
I became a massage therapist in 2004. I love working out and helping others feel and live their best life. Come see me for a massage or to talk about everything essential oils and health related.
Janine Sarmiento | Athletic Therapist

Janine graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology-Athletic Therapy in 2017.
Janine is passionate about promoting athletic therapy. Her experience includes working with the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre, the Bison Women’s soccer team and continuous work with MATA.
When she isn’t at the clinic, you can find her spending time with family and friends.
Dale Kornelson | Dietitian
Dale has been a Registered Dietitian (RD) for 24 years. Dale started his career at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Since then, Dale has worked in personal care homes, public health, diabetes education and chronic disease. He has also worked in private practice in order to help people achieve maximum wellness through better nutrition. Dale provides individual nutrition counseling for a number of different issues including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, celiac disease, and weight management.
Rochelle Tinumpit | Dietitian
Rochelle has been practicing as a registered dietitian since 2012. She has experience working within the Community as a dietitian for the Healthy Start for Mom and Me program before joining Action Physiotherapy.
Rochelle prides on helping others live their best lives and firmly believes that diet can play a major role in making positive changes in one’s life. She also believes in a team-based approach to a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Taylor Smith | Office Manager
Taylor Smith has over 3 years of experience working in physiotherapy clinics. She is friendly and confident and will make your visit feel effortless and enjoyable.
In her spare time, she enjoys fitness and spending time with her family and friends.
Karly Vancott | Office Manager
Karly is a mom to a busy teenage girl. When she's not coaching softball and watching her daughter's sports, she enjoys kayaking, going to the lake, reading, and spending time with her family and dog. Before rejoining the Physiotherapy world, she woked as a Librarian and Educational Assistant.
